A difficult path to be accepted by the most passionate fans, but which is building the roots of a raggaeton in Italian sauce, a movement that could no longer be supported only by the summer hit: this is the attempt by Fred De Palma, who after the successes of “Once again”, “Se illuminaba” and “Paloma” with Anitta, has released another single from the next album, “I’ll reach you”. The song, which traces the reggaeton and Latin sounds, also proposed in the previous songs, tells the distance between the two protagonists, with clear references to the urban landscape and the desire of the characters to meet, to get lost in the lightness of sentiment.

The project “Uebe“by Fred De Palma laid the foundations for a culture, that reggaeton, which in Italy has undergone a demonization, labeled as a summer phenomenon capable of producing “one shot” hits. The project published in 2019, which has also achieved platinum certification, and which includes singles such as “Lit up” with Ana Mena, five platinum discs in Spain, and “Once again”, which recently received its sixth platinum certification, also tells of the singer’s commitment to bringing the audience closer to reggaeton, sometimes even extracting it from the summer context. In this sense, the piece published in the last hours by the Turin artist, “I’ll join you“, could very well be an example of yet another attempt by the singer, who this time used an urban imaginary to tell a story made of passion, travel and pursuits. Fred De Palma tries to trace the concept of the journey that unites, as when sings: “Don’t leave me alone, come with me if you want to take flight, that if all the magic ends, the chill of jealousy will come and take us to the ground.” On the other hand, the concept of reunion, of being together, a resolution of closeness is fundamental. which is expressed more directly in the refrain: “I will reach you to be much closer”.
