Idris, who was a consultant on the eastern policy of Yavuz Sultan Selim, participated in the Iran campaign in 1514 and the Battle of Çaldıran. By the order of Yavuz Sultan Selim, he met with the Kurdish tribal chiefs of the region and met with Urmiye, Itak, Imadiye, Cizre, Egil, Bitlis, Hizan, Garzan, Palu, Siirt, Meyyafârikīn (Silvan), Suran, Çemişkezek, Sasun, Çapakçur, Sincar, Çermik, Hızo, He played an important role in the entry of regions such as Zerik into Ottoman rule without a war.

Idris, who was rewarded by the sultan with 2000 filoris of gold, valuable swords and furs in return for these services, returned from this expedition following the annexation of Aleppo during Yavuz’s Egypt expedition and returned to Malatya, Urfa, Besni, Ergani, Harput, Divrigi, Siverek and precisely Mardin and the other city. and enabled the towns to come under Ottoman rule. According to Idris-i Bitlisi’s “Selim Shahname”, “40 thousand Alevis were beheaded.” He died at the end of 1520 when he was sixty-five or seventy years old.
