Elements of the state service of the judicial police in the city of Meknes managed, this morning, to arrest a 41-year-old man suspected of involvement in a case related to the possession and promotion of prohibited plastic bags.
And the interests of the security state of Meknes revealed that the suspect was arrested while he was in the act of possessing and promoting prohibited plastic bags in the Basateen neighborhood of Meknes, before the inspection carried out in this case resulted in the seizure of about a ton of these bags stored and intended for promotion.
The suspect was kept under theoretical guard at the disposal of the judicial investigation that is taking place under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution, in order to reveal all the circumstances and circumstances of this case.
The arrest of the suspect in promoting plastic bags brought back to the fore the “Zero Mica” operation, which was launched with the introduction of Law 77.15 banning plastic bags, on July 1, 2016.
