Time.news – The Milan City Council approved the resolution of dedication of the Lyric Theater to Giorgio Gaber, who lived here the culmination of his artistic career and the more mature and creative phases of his civic commitment. The idea of the title was born from the same Milanese citizens who supported it thanks to a popular petition.
The proposal was immediately publicly married in January 2013, on the tenth anniversary of the artist’s death, by the then mayor Giuliano Pisapia, and reaffirmed in February 2014, on the occasion of a public meeting to present the restoration project of the Opera House. Today the council has formally decided to name the great artist.
