The minimum insurance income of farmers and tobacco producers is not recorded in the Law on the budget of the state social insurance promulgated today 2024
For this year, the minimum income for registered producers was equated to the minimum wage – BGN 780, and from next year, there is no separate line in the law to guide farmers on what will be the basis on which to calculate contributions to the budget.
In Appendix No. 1 to the law, it is written that for the activities of plant breeding, animal breeding and hunting, as well as fish farming, the minimum insurance income for managers is BGN 1,034, and for other positions BGN 933. For employees in the forestry sector, a minimum income of 933 is again indicated, while for the manager it is BGN 2 higher. For those employed in beekeeping, the lowest salary is correspondingly the lowest in the country – BGN 933.
It is written in the law that the maximum monthly amount of insurance income from next year will be increased to BGN 3,750.
The minimum amount of the pension for insurance service and age according to Art. 68, para. 1 of the Social Insurance Code for 2024 from January 1 to June 30 will be BGN 523.04; from July 1 to December 31 – BGN 580.57.
The daily minimum amount of the unemployment benefit is determined – BGN 18, maximum – BGN 107.14.
The monetary compensation for raising a child up to the age of 2 under Art. 53 of the Code for social insurance and for raising a child up to the age of 8 by the father (adoptive) under
Art. 53g of the same code for 2024 will be BGN 780.
