Today, Sunday, the Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, Benkin Rekani, directed to accelerate the study and development of designs to begin the second package to relieve traffic congestion.
The media center of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works said in a statement received by the (INA): “The Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities “chaired a meeting to discuss the proposals submitted to implement the second package of projects to relieve traffic congestion in Baghdad.”
He added, “The Minister directed, in the meeting attended by the Director General of the Department of Roads and Bridges, consultants and specialists, the necessity of accelerating the study and development of these proposals and preparing and reviewing the designs, in preparation for embarking on a number of second package projects to relieve traffic congestion in Baghdad on the Karkh and Rusafa sides, in conjunction with the opening of a number of First package projects.
