The Minister of Development, Housing and Public Municipalities, Benkin Rekani, confirmed in the present day, Tuesday, the launch of the primary initiatives of the second bundle to alleviate site visitors congestion in Baghdad, noting that the undertaking contains two bridges and a bridge on the Tigris River adjoining to Al-Sarrafiya.
Rikani mentioned whereas supervising the launch of the undertaking, and in accordance with a press release obtained by the (INA), that “with God’s blessing, we announce the launch of the primary initiatives of the second bundle to alleviate site visitors congestion in Baghdad,” stating that “the undertaking contains the development of a crossing bridge on the Tigris River in the identical form because the bridge.” The present Sarafiya bridge, with the rehabilitation of the previous hall of the bridge and the development of two bridges to develop the intersections of the Sarafiya Bridge and Baratha Mosque, with the rehabilitation of the encircling roads and the enlargement of the highway linking the Sarafiya Bridge and the Al-Shaljiya Intersection.
He defined, “The brand new axis, which begins from Muhammad Al-Qasim Highway till Al-Shaljiya Interchange, can be freed from intersections and largely satisfactory for car site visitors between the Karkh and Rusafa sides. It’s a complement to the initiatives of the primary bundle, represented by the Wonderful Arts Bridge and Al-Shaljiya Bridge, which had been beforehand opened.”
