The Minister of Resources and his Syrian counterpart sign the minutes of a meeting to exchange experiences

Minister of Water Resources, Aoun Dhiab Abdullah, and his Syrian counterpart, Hussein Makhlouf, signed minutes of the meeting, exchanging experiences, and holding courses.

A statement by the Ministry of Water Resources, received by the (INA), stated that, “At the conclusion of the visit of the Iraqi delegation headed by the Minister of Water Resources to the Syrian Arab Republic, the minutes of the meeting were signed by Aoun Dhiyab Abdullah, Minister of Water Resources, and his counterpart in the Syrian Arab Republic, Hussein Makhlouf.”
He added, “The minutes included many paragraphs agreed upon by the two parties, including the continued exchange of data across the technical authorities in both countries, the exchange of experiences, conducting training courses, activating the work of the Committee of Measurement Stations on the Euphrates River, overcoming the difficulties facing the work of the committee, the developments of the research center in Iraq, and activating the work.” Between the Syrian and Iraqi sides in the research center to exchange experiences between the two countries in the fields of climate change, groundwater management, closed irrigation, and lining water canals with concrete pads, with an emphasis on the continuation of bilateral meetings to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the field of water resources management.”
