“An objective procedure was carried out”, highlighted Diana Morant
The Minister of Science, Diana Morant, has defended this Friday the process by which La Coruña was chosen as the physical headquarters of the future Spanish Agency for the Supervision of Artificial Intelligence (Aesia), after the decision of the Grenada City Hall to ask the Supreme Court for the precautionary suspension of the procedure.
“An objective procedure was carried out, with objective criteria, and La Coruña came out and we understand that no one has to stop this,” Morant explained in an interview in RNE.
The head of Science recalled that the Government decided that “Spain should grow from all over Spain and therefore that all the territories have the opportunity to host centers like this one that generate opportunities in the territory.”
Among the 16 cities that submitted a candidacy to host this headquarters of the Spanish Agency for the Supervision of Artificial Intelligence, the Council of Ministers chose A Coruña, a decision rejected by the Granada City Council and the Junta de Andalucía.
