Watan Al-Youm: The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Makram Al-Qaisi, visited Al-Qatraneh Castle and the Visitor Center, where he was briefed on the maintenance and restoration work and services provided at the center.
Minister Al-Qaisi directed, during the visit, which was accompanied by the Director General of the Public Department, Dr. Fadi Balawi, to redevelop the center, in addition to operating shops and restaurants and providing various experiences through the local community and associations in the region.
Minister Al-Qaisi stressed the need to provide more explanatory panels in the castle, indicating the importance and vitality of the Qatraneh Castle project, as it is located on an international road and constitutes a tourist attraction for the region.
He referred to the support of the Ministry and the Tourism Promotion Authority to market tourist sites and work to develop them through the perceptions of the people of the local community, pointing out that the Ministry always seeks to cooperate with local communities to serve the country, and in a way that reflects positively on increasing the incomes of the people of the local community through work in the tourism sector.
