Today, Thursday, Minister of Transport Razzaq Muhaibas Al-Saadawi opened a new line within the mass transportation project in Baghdad.
The Ministry said in a statement, received by the (INA): “The Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibas Al-Saadawi, opened today the third mass transit line, which departs from Bab Al-Muadham (the Medical City Bridge), passing through Al-Tala’i Square – Al-Alawi District – Al-Zawraa – Nisour Square – Yarmouk Hospital.” – Umm Al-Tubul intersection, all the way to the Al-Bayaa area and back again.”
Al-Saadawi stressed during the opening ceremony that “this line is considered one of the vital and important lines as it passes through many medical centers, universities, institutes and other strategic places,” noting that “the line also serves the areas that pass through the Al-Bayaa area – Al-Amel neighborhood – Al-Saydiyah – Al-I’lam neighborhood.” .
This line is one of the complementary projects to relieve traffic congestion, which the Prime Minister initiated as part of the tunnel and bridge construction projects.
