The RF Ministry of Digital Industry has begun to discuss the third package of measures to support the telecom industry with industry representatives, said Deputy Minister Maxim Parshin on the sidelines of the Gaidar Forum.
“There are different ideas, we are collecting proposals, of course. So far, I cannot say the timing or some other details, but the material for the third package is being worked out, discussions with the industry are underway, “the deputy minister quoted TASS as saying.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said in December that he considered it expedient to start developing a third package of measures to support the industry in 2022.The first package was approved back in July 2020.One of the main elements was an indefinite reduction in income tax for IT companies from 20 to 3% and a reduction in insurance premium rates from 14 to 7.6%. Earlier it became known that as part of the first package, concessions are being discussed under the Yarovaya Law for online cinemas and digital terrestrial TV in terms of requirements for storing user traffic.
The second package of support measures was approved in September 2021. It includes 62 events, of which 20 are of a system-wide nature, 42 more points are aimed at stimulating the development and implementation of Russian developments in specific segments.
