The field visit started in Kirundo province where the ministerial delegation visited a maize field under small-scale irrigation in the Ruhohera marshland with an area of ​​200 ha in Vumbi commune, Kirundo province.

After Kirundo, the Assistant to the Minister in charge of agriculture and agriculture accompanied by the directors general paid a visit to Karusi province. In Bugenyuzi commune, he visited a model breeder with about 300 rabbits and in Gihogazi commune of the same province, the Assistant visited the fields of peas, onions, cabbage, potatoes, maize under irrigation on the Gasivya hill.
The delegation led by the Assistant to the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock visited the various rabbit breeders on the Zege hill in the commune and Province of Gitega.

After the field visits to the provinces of Kirundo, Karusi and Gitega, the Assistant Minister of the Environment, Agriculture and Livestock Emmanuel Ndorimana said that they found that the activities of season C concerning hill and marsh irrigation are very satisfactory.

Concerning the breeding of rabbits, the delegation noted that breeders have built modern hutches and brought rabbits of good breeds in order to distribute them in their localities.

The Minister’s Assistant Emmanuel Ndorimana thanked and encouraged the population because, according to him, they understood the activity of raising rabbits and this with the aim of responding to the call of the President of the Republic of Burundi.
