The team of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (MAF) held a preliminary discussion with the branch organizations of changes in Ordinance No. 10 of 2023. They affect the conditions and procedure for implementing interventions in the field of environment and climate, as well as animal welfare. This happened during an online meeting, the Department of Agriculture announced on Facebook.

The started process of amending the regulatory framework is with a view to the unofficial approval by the European Commission (EC) of the proposed changes in the compensatory interventions within the framework of the first amendment of the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas (SPRZSR) 2023-2027.

The preliminary phase aims to familiarize the interested parties, as well as to take into account their opinions and positions before launching a public discussion.

On April 1, 2024, a preliminary meeting was also held with the branch organizations to discuss changes in Ordinance No. 9 of June 26, 2023 on the terms and conditions for the implementation of the interventions “organic crop production” and “organic beekeeping” included in the SPRZSR 2023 – 2027

Last week, the 2023-2027 Rural Development Program Monitoring Committee approved the 17th amendment to the Rural Development Program (RDP) 2014-2020, the main objective of which is the effective distribution of free financial resources in accordance with the set goals and priorities under the Program until the end of 2025.

In connection with the free funds generated under the individual measures and sub-measures, a redistribution of funds in the amount of nearly 100 million euros is foreseen. The changes are also justified by the presence of projects prepared in the State Fund “Agriculture”, meeting the eligibility conditions and corresponding to the evaluation criteria, for which no budget was available according to the relevant admission procedures.

With the change, the three main priorities of the Program related to increasing the competitiveness and balanced development of agriculture and forestry and the processing industry, protecting ecosystems and sustainable management of natural resources and strengthening the socio-economic development of rural areas will be fully achieved. , explains the Ministry of Health.
