The Russian Ministry of Defense has signed about 40 contracts for a total amount of about 500 billion rubles. at the Army forum, said Deputy Defense Minister Alexei Krivoruchko.
“Today, four were awarded and 41 state contracts were signed with 27 enterprises of the military-industrial complex worth more than 500 billion rubles,” Krivoruchko said (quoted by TASS). According to him, these contracts imply the replenishment of the Russian army with more than 1300 units of new military equipment, as well as 150 units in service.
Earlier today, the main defense bank PSB and the Russian Helicopters holding (part of the Rostec State Corporation) signed a loan agreement on the allocation of Progress AAK about 40 billion rubles. These funds will be used, among other things, to ensure the further production of the modified Ka-52M attack helicopter.
In addition, the day before, the general director of Rosoboronexport, Alexander Mikheev, announced the signing of a new contract for the supply of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems to Turkey. Russia and Turkey agreed to deliver the last S-400 at the end of 2017. At the same time, at the beginning of this year, the head of the Defense Industry Administration (SSB) of Turkey, Ismail Demir, said that Ankara is ready to purchase a second set of air defense systems from Russia, subject to the transfer of production technologies. Mikheev did not specify whether Russia would transfer these technologies.
