The check of the e-government infrastructure did not reveal threats of unauthorized access to the source codes of the State Service portal, TASS reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Finance.

During the monitoring, shortcomings were revealed in the work of one of the regional portals, which does not have access to the data of the federal portal of public services and the intersection of source codes with it, noted in the Ministry of Digital Science.

“The inspection of the entire e-government infrastructure did not reveal any threats of unauthorized access to the source codes. The portal of public services works as usual, user data is reliably protected, ”the Ministry of Digital Science said.

Earlier today, the “Durov Code” publication reported that the cybersec.org resource had published the source code of the “Gosuslugi” portal in open access. It was downloaded by the authors of the resource from the mos.ru subdomains – the portal sources in the form of .git catalogs were there in unencrypted form.

On December 22, the Ministry of Finance reported that in 2022, the State Services portal will introduce mandatory two-factor identification in order to protect portal users from fraud. They noted that now users can turn on such a function themselves in order to confirm their entry not only with a password, but also using SMS, but very few people do this.

Prior to that, the government announced the appearance in 2022 on the State Services portal of more than 100 regional services that previously could only be obtained on local portals, or those that were not provided online. Starting next year, Russians, in particular, will be able to issue several benefits for children through the portal, conduct a technical inspection of self-propelled vehicles and other types of equipment, register property rights, file personal income tax returns, and obtain various licenses and permits.
