The Ministry of Education and Science has published the tests and the correct answers from the compulsory state matriculation exam that took place today.
The graduates who appeared for the matriculation examination in a profiling subject worked on Option 2, which was withdrawn this morning at the Ministry of Education and Science. In this exam, 1,640 students tested their knowledge of various subjects.
The most desired subject for the second matriculation exam remains the English language, with 507 matriculation students appearing for it. In geography and economics, 341 young people appeared. In their last question, they argued a thesis about the factors that determine the development of mountainous regions in Bulgaria.
266 were the students of the biology and health education exam. In the last task, they described the heart’s activity and the role of the circulatory and lymphatic systems in the function of tissues and organs in the human body.
There were 210 young people on the history and civilizations exam, 121 on entrepreneurship, 90 on philosophy, and 41 on mathematics.
On the mandatory exam for acquiring a professional qualification (theory part), subject #16 was failed, which is different for each profession. Students with the profession “Robot Programmer” wrote about the operating system of robots. Trainee animators in tourism developed the theme of animation for people with disabilities. Future tax and customs brokers wrote about placing goods under customs regime.
Exams were held today in 501 halls of 185 schools in the country. 2 exams in Kardzhali and in Veliko Tarnovo have been cancelled.
The current session is attended by high school seniors who have not successfully passed the exam in previous campaigns.
Those who wish to take an exam in a subject they have already taken are also allowed to use the new grade for applying to higher education.
Those who do not have a grade in a given subject in their secondary education diploma can also take the exam.
On August 26, additional state matriculation exams will be held at the student’s request.
The results of today’s exams will be announced by September 5.
