In Baku, within the framework of the 10th ministerial meeting of the Advisory Council on the Southern Gas Corridor and the 2nd ministerial meeting of the Advisory Council on Green Energy, documents on cooperation in the field of renewable energy sources were signed.

As Day.Az reported on Friday with reference to Trend, a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan and the Nobel Energy company provides for cooperation on the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of 100 MW in the Jabrayil region, as well as on the production, sale and consumption of electricity. According to the document, it is planned to build a solar power plant with a total capacity of 100 MW, 50 MW at the initial stage and 50 MW at the next stage.

A document on cooperation was also signed between the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan and the Spanish company Elecnor. The Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation on a renewable energy project in Azerbaijan covers cooperation in the implementation of a 70 MW wind power plant project in the Garadagh region. Within this framework, there will also be cooperation on the development of wind and solar energy projects, including the collection and analysis of wind speed data, as well as energy storage systems.
