The introduction of a supranational digital tax will give the Russian budget tens of billions of rubles annually, said Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Sazanov. Earlier, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development reported that 130 states had approved the introduction of an international taxation system for large digital corporations. According to the plan, the minimum single tax rate will be 15%. For the system to work, countries must pass laws.
“According to our quick estimates, it will be tens of billions of rubles, if we are lucky. Annually, of course, ”said Mr. Sazanov at the Moscow Financial Forum (quoted by TASS).
Earlier, the deputy head of the Ministry of Digital Industry Maxim Parshin said that the details of the future digital tax in Russia may become known in November. According to him, after the introduction of global regulation, local digital taxes in force in a number of countries will be canceled.
