The Ministry of Health announced a short time ago about the destruction of meat at the “Agash Malka Meat Center” butchery, 34 Ha-Atzmaat Street in Migdal Ha-Emek.
During the day (Sunday) an audit was carried out by the environmental health inspector of the Jezreel district, the veterinarian in charge of the district from the North district health office and with the participation of the PIA unit of the Ministry of Agriculture in the North district.
During the audit, about 1.3 tons of meat and poultry products that are unfit for human consumption were found. Some of the products were expired and some had labels indicating local production.
In addition, there were products that were produced on site but without labels at all and some of the products were frozen on site without a permit and under poor sanitation conditions.
By order of the responsible veterinarian in the district, the products were destroyed.
The Ministry of Health stated: “The handling of animal food, its storage and marketing without the conditions required by the legislation and without traceability, may harm public health.
The Ministry of Health will continue to take enforcement measures against the business.”
