Rules for the use of electric scooters and other means of individual mobility (SIM) have been added to the theoretical exam for all categories of driver’s licenses. This was reported to TASS in the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in response to a request from the agency.

The exam will include questions about the validity of signs 3.29 and 3.30 (“Parking is prohibited on even / odd days of the month”), about the new light section in the form of a silhouette of a pedestrian and an arrow with a flashing signal of white and moon color, located under the traffic light, as well as the coverage area sign 3.27 (“Stopping is prohibited”) if it is used in conjunction with the yellow line of horizontal road markings (marking 1.4).

The correction of examination tasks is connected with changes in the rules of the road, which came into force on March 1 of this year. Electric scooters, electric skateboards, gyroscooters, segways, unicycles and other similar devices have received a special status – “means of individual mobility”.

You can move on them at a speed of no more than 25 km / h. Electric scooters are allowed to ride on the right edge of the carriageway, but this can only be done by those over the age of 14, and only on road sections with a maximum speed limit of up to 60 km/h, where cyclists are allowed.
