The Russian Ministry of Justice gave the detainees of the pre-trial detention center the right to call children under the age of 14 within 24 hours after receiving permission from the investigator or the court. The corresponding order was published today, September 13.

“A suspected or accused woman who has a child under the age of 14, a man who has a child under the age of 14 and who is the only parent shall be provided with a telephone conversation with her young children within 24 hours from the moment the written permission of the person or body is received at the SIZO, in the proceedings of which there is a criminal case, or a court, ”- said in the order of the Ministry of Justice.
