by times news cr

The agreement aims to broaden the base of sports practice to train generations of athletes capable of honorably representing Morocco in various regional and international competitions.

It stipulates the creation of “sports-studies” bridges and courses in schools and sports training centers, as well as the qualification of educational and administrative staff working in the fields of training, arbitration, organization and sports management within schools.

In addition to the implementation of joint projects for the development of this practice and the exchange of experiences, the agreement covers the dissemination and encouragement of Olympic culture at local, provincial, regional and national levels, through operations to detect promising talents (girls and boys).

To do this, the two parties are committed to joining forces and intensifying coordination for the joint organization of competitions according to a well-defined schedule with annual meetings for the holding of these events, indicates a press release from the ministry.

The agreement comes within the framework of the implementation of projects provided for in framework law 51-17 relating to the education, training and scientific research system, in particular project number 11 relating to the creation of “Sport and studies” bridges and courses allowing schooled athletes to follow inclusive, balanced and integrated training.

The signing of this agreement stems from the ministry’s desire to open up to different stakeholders and to broaden the spectrum of partnerships, just as it contributes to the consolidation of cooperation for the implementation of strategic programs with a forward-looking scope.

It also responds to the concern of promoting the practice of sport among new generations and popularizing certain disciplines increasingly popular with young people.
