The Ministry of Transport plans to allow the logistics operator of Gazprom Neft, Gazpromneft-Snabzhenie, to operate unmanned trucks on the M11 highway from Moscow to St. Petersburg. This follows from the draft government decree posted on the website of regulatory legal acts on August 14. In June, Kamaz and Sber announced the launch of their unmanned trucks in this direction.

The explanatory note to the document of the Ministry of Transport says that on August 10, the department received an application from Gazpromneft-Snabzhenie to join the pilot legal regime (EPR) “Unmanned Logistics Corridors” operating on the M11. This EPR is part of the initiatives of the Ministry of Transport, developed on behalf of the president and government as part of the digital transformation strategy for the transport industry. By 2030, unmanned transportation is planned to be organized on 19,500 km of federal roads.
