The Engineering Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports continues to follow up on the Kirkuk Olympic Stadium project, in which work has resumed after a long period of cessation, while directing the opening of a night work shift to reduce the implementation period.
A statement by the Ministry of Youth, received by the (INA), stated that “The Director General of the Engineering Department, Abdul Khaleq Khader Al-Khafaji, conducted an inspection tour to see the resumption of work on the Kirkuk Olympic Stadium project after a hiatus that lasted more than a year.”
He added, “The General Director met with the Resident Engineer Department and the implementing company (Ava Spor, Turkey) to discuss the work progress schedule and the possibility of reducing the implementation period by intensifying efforts and opening a night work meal.”
He continued, “The project includes a main stadium with a capacity of 23,000 spectators, along with 4 training fields, and a hotel building consisting of 20 suites.”
