People are filing complaints alleging that the ration shop building is damaged and the food provided there is of substandard quality.

Sewer work as a drag

Thanapalan KVR Nagar: The underground sewer work has been dragging on for two years. It is difficult to travel by carts on the road. Drinking water is wasted due to frequent breakage of pipes. The Corporation should reduce the property tax.

Natrayan, Akilan Nagar: Pits dug for underground sewers are not closed properly. Due to this, the sewage flowing in the open sewers gets stagnant on the road. Corporation drinking water trucks do not arrive regularly. Sewage should be removed from Athikkulam Kanmai and durwari should be repaired.

Rapid development works

13th Ward Councilor Senthilkumar (DMK): Due to rain, the construction of underground sewer and drinking water pipe has been delayed. Underground sewerage and drinking water pipe connection will be provided soon. For the development of the ward, MLA has allocated funds for the development works in the fund and a contract has been entered into. We have accelerated infrastructure works. After getting the ward funds, the work will be done successively, he said.
