“I am not going to blame the failure of the government by giving consent to a policy that is wrong.” This was clarified by the president of New Democracy, Antonis Samaras, speaking yesterday from the “Economist” platform and added that “if I know something is wrong, I have no right to remain silent. I have no right to accept it. The opposition does not exist to acquiesce in the mistakes of the government, when the latter makes them worse.”

Mr. Samaras took aim at trade unionists, as in Zappeio II, saying that he does not count the political cost and that he will continue to disapprove of the unnatural privileges of some public unions.
Referring to Zappio II, he pointed out that the Program he presented is the epitome of Social Liberalism and that all he promised was the restoration of the pensions of the low pensioners.
