Speaking to the media after a meeting with supporters at the Angel of Independence, Red of the Vega He said that the Monreal family is afraid of losing “the jewel in the crown” in Mexico City.
“Since he took office, Monreal has left his political actors in charge of the mayor’s office. They are afraid of losing everything they have gained over many years of being in the Government (…) they are afraid that in the face of a historic election like this one, where Morena swept the board, they have lost the jewel in the crown,” he said.

“It is not affecting us in any way. We had an informal meeting with Mayor Raúl Ortega, we are in talks, we are going to set a date for official meetings for the transition and I do not think it should affect us in any way,” he said.
He also reiterated his interest in meeting with the next head of Government, Clara Brugada, and their willingness to work in a coordinated manner.
“I have sought her out, I have sought communication, bridges with her team, to start a relationship beyond differences, of coordination for the people who live in Cuauhtémoc. We have to coordinate, that is what people expect from us,” he said.
