The moon was not seen; Ramadan 1st Thursday in Gulf

by time news

Dubai: With none of the Gulf countries observing the month of Ramadan on Tuesday, the authorities of various countries said that except for Oman, the fasting will begin on Thursday. In Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar, fasting starts on Thursday after completing Sha’ban 30 on Wednesday.

In Oman, Wednesday is Sha’ban 29, so no decision on Ramadan has been announced. If the new moon is seen, the fast will start in Oman along with other Gulf countries. Ramadan is coming in the Gulf this time in a situation where the Covid-19 restrictions have been completely lifted in four years.
