The president of AISER-Benin, Léonide Sinsin, proud of the penetration rate of renewable energy in many households in Benin, presented to his representatives the major achievements made during the year 2023 under the aegis of the executive office. Thanks to the support of GDIZ-Benin and the government, the Association worked to increase the coverage rate of solar energy in vulnerable households in Benin. Directly or indirectly, these activities have created added value for the economy and thousands of jobs for young people in the renewable energy sector. These feats achieved by AISER have led to new memberships during the year 2023. To date, the number of members of AISER-Benin has doubled and exceeds 70 members. “During 2023, the renewable family in Benin has grown,” said the president of the Association, Léonide Sinsin. Still in the chapter of the great successes of the year 2023, the Association has been registered in the Official Journal. Also, AISER-Benin and the Benin Chamber of Commerce and Industry have strengthened their collaboration over the past twelve months around joint structuring projects on the future of solar producing companies. In order to work in harmony with state and institutional structures, AISER-Benin met this year with the Minister of the Interior and Public Security. During these fruitful discussions, it was recommended that the Association register with the Ministry of the Interior in order to be more representative across the entire national territory. The moral report, followed by debates and recommendations, was adopted by acclamation by the members.

The financial report, the budget of which is around 2,500,000 F, was presented by the treasurer of AISER. He listed the expenses made by the structure during the year.
