The Moroccan Embassy in Conakry celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Throne Day

Conakry – The ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in Guinea Conakry, Issam Taïb, offered, on Wednesday, a reception on the occasion of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the accession of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the Throne of His glorious ancestors.

This reception was enhanced by the presence of more than fifteen Guinean ministers and members of the National Committee of the Rally for Development, members of the diplomatic corps, international institutions, the Moroccan diaspora, as well as eminent personalities from the world of business, culture, arts, sport and the religious field. In a speech for the occasion, Mr. Taïb highlighted the unprecedented development and remarkable societal and economic transformation of the Kingdom, under the wise leadership of HM the King, thanks to “avant-garde reforms aimed at guaranteeing the rights and freedoms of all citizens and their human development, sectoral visions and industrial plans propelling the Moroccan economy, as well as a bold religious, cultural and social policy, and a relentless determination to preserve the environment “. Mr. Taïb also highlighted the High Royal Vision for the establishment of united and active south-south cooperation, reiterating Morocco’s commitment and its willingness to share its experience with sister African countries, including Guinea. , where His Majesty the King made two Royal Visits in 2014 and 2017 during which the Sovereign launched a dozen projects, including the Mohammed VI Mosque in Conakry, inaugurated last March. Evoking the uniqueness of the historical relations linking Morocco and Guinea, Mr. Taib recalled “the surge of solidarity expressed by Guinea and its people towards Morocco in the aftermath of the Al Haouz earthquake”, while highlighting before the constant position of Guinea supporting the Moroccanness of the Sahara. Mr. Taib also underlined “the common historical solidarity of the two countries with Palestine”, recalling the call launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in His capacity as President of the Al Quds Committee, for a definitive solution for achieve a cessation of hostilities and the establishment of a just and lasting peace in the region.
