The Moroccan Embassy in Italy celebrates the glorious Throne Day

This ceremony was marked by the presence of ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Rome, senior Italian officials, personalities from the worlds of business, art and culture, members of the Moroccan community, as well as as representatives of different religions.

Speaking on this occasion, the Moroccan Ambassador to Italy, Youssef Balla, immediately highlighted the great achievements accomplished under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, at all levels, notably economic, political, social, cultural. and diplomatic.

Under the reign of His Majesty the King, he noted, ”the Kingdom stood out by the establishment of several modern concepts, in this case the entrepreneurial State, the regulatory State and the Social state, in addition to new geostrategic and geopolitical approaches for the positioning of Morocco in its immediate neighborhood and in a rapidly changing world.

“The commemoration of this great event is an opportunity to highlight the perfect symbiosis between the Throne and the people, and to celebrate not only a reign, but also a vision, determination and leadership that propelled Morocco towards a promising future” , noted Mr. Balla.

Referring to the political and diplomatic aspects, he indicated that HM the King has strengthened Morocco’s position by choosing Africa and the Mediterranean as a natural extension of the Kingdom. The diversification of its regional and multilateral partnerships, and its openness to Asia-Oceania and the Americas have enabled Morocco to join the Top50 ranking of the “Global Soft Power Index – 2024”, said Mr. Balla.

He further stressed that thanks to the royal vision, the dynamic of support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom continues in an unstoppable manner, citing in this sense the recent decision of the French President to support Moroccan sovereignty over its Sahara.

And to emphasize that the Sovereign has also made human rights and social issues a priority, attaching great importance to the family and the rights of vulnerable people.

Mr. Balla also welcomed the excellent relations between Morocco and Italy, describing them as “deep and rooted” in the history and culture of the two countries which will soon celebrate two centuries of solid ties based on cooperation and friendship.

The Moroccan diplomat stressed that bilateral relations are characterized by deep friendship and fruitful cooperation, noting in this sense the exchange of regular visits by high-level officials.

At the end of this great ceremony, the guests expressed their warm congratulations and wishes to His Majesty the King and the Moroccan people.
