The ceremony organized Tuesday evening in a large palace in Lima, was enhanced by the presence, in particular, of the new President of Congress, Eduardo Salhuana, the Minister of Education, Morgan Quero, the President of the Judiciary, Javier Arévalo Vela and of the Secretary General of the Ministry of External Relations, Augusto Salamanca, as well as other civil and military personalities.

On this occasion, the Moroccan ambassador to Peru, Amin Chaoudri, reviewed the major achievements accomplished by Morocco over the last 25 years, emphasizing port infrastructure, particularly the future port of Dakhla.

The Moroccan diplomat also recalled the dynamic that recently marked relations between Morocco and Peru, notably the holding, in Lima, of the 7th session of the Political Consultation Mechanism, the exchange of visits and the signing of important cooperation agreements. sectoral and decentralized, including the Memorandum of Understanding between the Judicial Powers of the two countries and the Twinning Agreement between the regions of Dakhla and Piura in Peru.

For his part, the Secretary General of the Ministry of External Relations described Morocco as a “strategic partner”, highlighting the exemplary ties of cordial friendship linking the two countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1964.

He particularly recalled the historic visit made by His Majesty King Mohammed VI in 2004 to Peru, expressing the wish to see ties between the two countries develop and be further consolidated in the future.

The President of the Judiciary, who recently visited Morocco, expressed his admiration for the vast development projects underway in all regions of Morocco, particularly in the Sahara.

Addressing the effectiveness of the Moroccan judicial system, Mr. Vela underlined the importance of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on judicial cooperation, a legal instrument which will further strengthen the cooperation ties between Morocco and Peru. .

On this occasion, the guests praised the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as well as the initiatives carried out by the Kingdom on the path to the consecration of democracy and socio-economic development.
