The Mosaic Guitar Quartet hosts the Pavlos Vrellis Museum of Greek History on Saturday, May 11, at 6 pm, in its exhibition space.

Four musicians, who happen to be guitarists and not the other way around, present a program that outlines melodic microcosms that have emerged from the length and breadth of countries contributing to the Music Canon. Melina Vlachou, Foteini Tsoumani, Yiannis Galitis and Alexis Tsionis present to the public their own musical selections, as well as compositions (Vlachou, Galitis), which are in equal dialogue with works of the canon they highlight. “Their selection criteria include the representation of composers who do not belong, only, to the choir of Eurocentric production and the existence of tonal, tonal and aesthetic changes, which enrich the perceived experiences of their audience. By inviting them to our place, we recognize and highlight their personality, as well as they themselves shape the experiences and those of our recruiters”, says Konstantinos Vrellis
Entry is free, with the only request being the required quietness. At 4 pm, a bus will depart from the Academy building. Small groups will be able to tour the Museum, up to 30 minutes before the start of the concert. The same bus will take back to Ioannina the people who had originally boarded. There will be no financial charge for these movements.
