Kiara’s wedding jewelery features emeralds and hand-cut diamonds

At the wedding ceremony between actress Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, emerald itself grabbed the attention of jewelery lovers. Both of them got married on February 7 in Jaisalmer. A wedding reception was also held for the stars and friends in Mumbai on Sunday. Kiara wore emerald and diamond jewelery for both the functions.
Kiara wore a diamond and Zambian emerald statement necklace for the wedding. Rare Zambian emeralds and ultra fine handcut diamonds add charm to this jewelery set. Kiara wore emerald jewelery to the wedding reception. Kiara’s jewelery is from Manish Malhotra’s bespoke diamond jewelery collection. The Zambian emerald is said to be the most expensive emerald in the world.
Actress Nayanthara on her wedding day also wore unique jewels that sparkled with emeralds and diamonds. “Nayanthara wore a headband and earrings made of emeralds and diamonds. The most expensive emerald in the world comes from Zambia, South Africa. The large choker worn by Nayanthara is made of Zambian emeralds. Emeralds were discovered here in the 70’s and 80’s and since then Zambian emeralds have become a bright spot in the gem world. Emerald also dominated Nayantara’s polka dot necklace,” says the stylish Shrestha Iyer about the special features of Nayantara’s wedding jewellery.
The multilayer necklace worn by Nayanthara is also a combination of pearls, emeralds and diamonds. This seven-layer necklace is called ‘Satlada Haar’. This is a traditional Hyderabadi jewellery.
