Journalists from Android Authority said that users are more likely to buy smartphones that cost no more than $499. This was reported in a media study, Day.Az reports with reference to Lenta.ru.
Previously, the portal’s authors conducted a survey among their readers and asked them to answer how much they were willing to spend on a new smartphone in 2025. Based on the collected data from 6,500 respondents, journalists named the most popular price category for phones – up to $499. Almost 44 percent of users chose this category.
33 percent of respondents noted that they would look for a device costing between $499 and $999. About 12 percent of the votes received two answers – “I prefer a smartphone more expensive than $999” and “I will not buy a smartphone in 2025.”
“It’s clear from our survey that when it comes to buying a new smartphone, there is no one-size-fits-all answer,” the reporters noted. According to them, many of the surveyed users prefer to buy smartphones when they come across promotions and sales. However, the high price is still an important limitation: “One of our readers said: ‘I’m not poor, but paying $1,000 for a phone is crazy.'”
