If you like vintage cars and true collector’s models, you can’t miss visiting seven of the most spectacular private collections in the world. For them space is not a problem and there are real motor enthusiasts that keep unique vehicles and even with a value of 3 million dollars:

Jay Leno (Los Angeles): Leno is not only known for being a comedian and one of the most famous television hosts in the United States, but also for his large collection of cars. After leaving ‘The Tonight Show’ in the hands of Jimmy Fallon, Jay turned completely to his passion: the automotive industry. He created a YouTube channel, Jay Leno’s Garage, in which he tested and commented on his cars. Currently, it has one of the most important automotive collections in the world, with almost 300 cars of all time. In this collection, valued at approximately 150 million dollars, you can find models such as an original Shelby Cobra, a 1934 Rolls Royce Phantom II or a Mclaren F1.

Miguel de la Via (Bilbao): The private collection of vintage and classic cars owned by Biscayan Miguel de la Vía is the most complete Rolls-Royce collection in Europe. Also, one of the only collections in the world where you can see all the models of the Phantom series manufactured until 1972, without exception. Miguel de la Vía dedicated his life to stonework, but he was obsessed with cars since he was a child, so he set out to create this collection. The businessman died at the age of 77, but his cars can still be visited just as he left them, in the Loizaga Tower, on the outskirts of Bilbao, in the surroundings of a medieval tower built in Galdames.

Hassanal Bolkiah (Brunei): Bolkiah, also known as the Sultan of Brunei, is another of the world’s great car collectors. Hardly any photographs of his collection have been seen, but it is said that he owns a total of 7,000 models. Among them stand out more than 200 BMWs, almost 500 Ferraris and 180 Jaguars. He has several custom cars, with his parade car being the most representative: a 24-karat gold-plated Rolls Royce Silver Spur worth $3 million.

Evert Louwman (La Haya): Louwman owns 250 historic vehicles. His is a family story, since it was eight decades ago when his family began collecting the most legendary cars in automotive history. The models were passed from generation to generation and today this private collection can be visited at the Louwman Museum in the Netherlands. It is considered the largest in the world from 1910 and stands out because it exhibits the remaining 15 classic cars of the Dutch brand Spyker and the only Eysink model left on the market.

Elisa Stephens (San Francisco): Stephens is the president of the Academy of Art University of San Francisco and the woman with the largest collection of cars in the world. With her almost 250 vehicles, the businesswoman demonstrates her passion for classic luxury cars, especially those launched in the 1920s. Her love for these models began when her father gave her a 1927 Packard Model 343 Convertible Sedan. In 2012, Elisa created the Automobile Museum, a museum to display her great collection.

Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan (Dubai): Known as the rainbow sheikh, he has one of the largest fortunes in Abu Dhabi, with more than 20 billion dollars. The personalized cars that the brands have made just for him make his collection one of the most exclusive and eccentric in the world. True to his nickname, the Sheikh has seven Mercedes-Benz S-Class 500s, each a different color from the rainbow. But, without a doubt, the most representative vehicle in his collection is the limousine, which has been cataloged as the longest in the world, with a total of 5 axles.

Ralph Lauren (Westchester County, N.Y): We all know Ralph Lauren thanks to his textile firm and the famous horseman that accompanies each of his garments. However, the designer is not only passionate about fashion, he is also passionate about cars: he has one of the largest automobile collections in the world. He has unique models such as a Mercedes SSK Conte Trossi from 1930 or a Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic Coupé from 1938. In addition, he keeps all these vehicles in a very special way: on white bases and with a dark background to highlight every detail.
