The Show of Entrepreneurs of Girona has opened the phase of submitting candidacies for the 12th edition of the event – organized by the Codina Consultancy and its digital strategy service, ElGiroscope – which will take place on November 16 at the Scientific and Technological Park of University of Girona.
The event has established itself as a platform for support and dissemination of newly created entrepreneurial projects linked to Girona’s counties. The Show of Entrepreneurs of Girona rwill distribute 3,000 euros in prizes (1,000 for the winner and 500 for each of the four finalists). The organizers explain that the most attractive and innovative proposal will be evaluatedat the same time that its economic viability and other characteristics such as creativity, sustainability or social or environmental impact will be taken into account. Companies and entrepreneurs can now submit their application and can consult all the necessary information on the website www.emprenedorsgirona.cat.
All nominations will be evaluated by the organizers from October 15, the day the deadline to present ends. Those companies and/or entrepreneurs who meet a series of requirements have access to it, such as that their project has started activity, less than five years have passed since the beginning of its design or its start-up and they must have a direct link with the Girona territory. It must have been devised, developed or created in the demarcation or by entrepreneurs from Girona.
A Girona project “improves” the quality of life of multiple sclerosis patients
In the last edition of the Mostra d’Empreneurs, held in November 2022, the Tensor Medical project was awarded by popular vote. It is a spin-off (a business initiative promoted by members of the university community) of the University of Girona and the Vall d’Hebron Hospital Research Institute that improves the quality of life of patients with multiple sclerosis from artificial intelligence.
