LE SCAN SPORT – The German coach of the Reds met Daire, a young Irish supporter with a disability.

This December 25, Christmas Day, the Liverpool club offered a magnificent gift to one of its supporters. Daire, a 12-year-old Irish boy with a disability, had the opportunity to meet the players, attend Reds training and chat with coach Jürgen Klopp. The report was published by Liverpool on its social networks on Monday.

“It’s my life, it means everything to me. I can’t describe it in words, it’s like Liverpool are his best friend., confided Daire, who will remember this moment for a long time. It all started with a video published by the club’s disabled supporters association which showed the young Irishman moved to tears during the famous «You’ll Never Walk Alone» at Anfield on September 3 during a victory against Aston Villa (3-0).

The moving images had pushed Klopp to invite the supporter to the training center, before the latter met Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez or Wataro Endo following the spectacular success of the Scousers against Fulham (4-3).

“He’s the biggest Liverpool fan I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen quite a few, said Jürgen Klopp. I love it when you say you treat Liverpool like your best friend. (…) You wouldn’t think you were hearing a 12-year-old child… You are the wisest person in the room.”
