In total, the municipality received 375 submissions from the owners of private houses and apartments about the damages caused by floods and storms. Individual housing owners later withdrew their application, while for some housing applications were submitted by legal entities that could not apply for this benefit in accordance with the procedures established by law.
Therefore, the benefit was paid to 347 home owners. The maximum amount of benefit – 3,000 euros – has been paid to the majority of home owners. On the other hand, the smallest amount paid was 51 euros – the flood had caused minor damage to the porch of this property. In another case, the amount of the benefit was 60 euros – the facade of the house had damaged plaster covering an area of three square meters.
In the municipality, the calculation of the allowance for the common areas of multi-apartment residential buildings, which were damaged by the flood, is still ongoing. In total, the municipality received 84 applications for apartment buildings. The buildings have been surveyed, an evaluation process is underway, in order to then make a decision on the payment of the benefit.
Initially, support is provided to residents from the municipal funds, in order to then apply for co-financing from the state budget in the amount of the specified percentage to cover these expenses. Therefore, at the October council meeting, amendments were made to the municipal budget in order to find funding for the payment of benefits to residents.
