Although Gronich apologized for his remarks, he was severely criticized by MKs, singers and the general public. Today (Wednesday) the Kfar Yona municipality decided to cancel his performance that was expected to take place at the “Shabbat Tarbut” events later this month.
The municipality of Kfar Yona has updated that another singer has already been found who will replace Gronich.
Shoshi Kahlon Kidor, mayor of Kfar Yona, said: “We are disappointed with the statement of Shlomo Gronich, who does not correspond with the municipality’s policy, which makes room for everyone and everyone. I am sorry for the artist and the statement, which express intolerance that produces division.”
