The non-permanent installations for the autonomous access of disabled people to the sea were installed and are operating on the beaches of the island, in the town of Kos, Kardamena and Kefalos.
The beaches selected are accessible to fellow citizens and visitors of our island with mobility problems.
In Kos town, the installation was moved and is operating in the leeward bay east of the marina, due to problems it faced due to waves on the beach of Nea Alikarnassos, where it was installed last year.
At the same time, the Municipality of Kos, in order to cover the areas of Mastichari and Marmari, has submitted a proposal, for the financing of two additional facilities, to the “Antonis Tritsis” special program.
The infrastructures that have been created improve the services provided to our compatriots and the island’s visitors, while upgrading the identity of our island as a tourist destination with quality services.
