The Municipality of Varna imposed BGN 291,000 in sanctions on the garbage disposal company in July alone. This was reported to the mayor Blagomir Kotsev today during the regular operational meeting.
The most – about BGN 102,000 – are the sanctions in the “Primorski” area.
According to the regional mayors, the waste removal schedule is followed, but the areas around the containers are not cleaned.
The employees of the regions also found that garbage in large quantities was thrown outside the garbage containers.
On the occasion of the uncleaned areas around the containers, the mayor Kotsev ordered to organize a new meeting with representatives of the garbage disposal company, and the employees of the Municipality of Varna to continue with the inspections of commercial establishments and citizens for unregulated disposal of waste.
The administration reminds that there is a new schedule for the disposal of bulky waste.
They can be placed near the containers around the clock, but only on a specific day for each area.
The schedule is as follows: “Odessos” district – Monday, “Primorski” district – Tuesday, “Mladost” district – Wednesday, “Asparuhovo” district – Thursday, “Vl. Varnenchik” – Friday. The schedule for the villages is as follows: Konstantinovo town hall – Monday, Kamenar town hall – Tuesday, Kazashko town hall – Wednesday, Zvezdica town hall – Thursday and Topoli town hall – Friday.
Property should be placed in close proximity to the containers and not scattered indiscriminately.
The maximum permissible volume is up to 1.5 cubic meters per household. The disposal of EGO with a larger volume than the regulated one and on days outside the schedule will be treated as a punishable violation. It is absolutely forbidden to dispose of construction waste in or out of household waste receptacles.
Movable cameras are placed in various locations near the containers for mixed household waste. They exercise control both over the schedule of the garbage disposal company and cleaning workers, and over unscrupulous citizens.
