The Municipality participated in the second federal meeting for the construction of Priority Learning Centers > Municipality of Córdoba

The Municipality of Córdoba recently participated in the second federal meeting for the construction of Priority Learning Centers (NAP) in the first years of life, from 45 days to 3 years of age.

The call was made by the National Directorate of Initial Education, belonging to the Undersecretary of Educational Management and Quality, of the Ministry of Education of the Nation.

The objective of the meeting was to establish a pedagogical framework that contemplates the knowledge that must be taught during early childhood. It seeks to produce a document base that can be used by all jurisdictions in the country.

The meeting was held virtually synchronously on April 5, and the different participating jurisdictions of the country presented themselves. The team from the Secretary of Education of the Municipality of Córdoba was present during the 3 hours that the event took place, along with representatives from other provinces.

The initiative seeks the collective production of NAPs in the age group from 0 to 3 years, thinking about education from the cradle. The denomination of maternal education, inserted in initial education, is assumed as one more cycle of it.

The municipal system of Córdoba has already advanced with a curricular proposal approved in November 2022 for boys and girls from 45 days to 2 years of age, which will be an important input for the collective construction of specific NAPs.

The Secretary of Education, Horacio Ferreyra, expressed about this participation: “The joint and consensual elaboration of these NAPs for early childhood responds to a rights-based approach that goes beyond the welfare vision, often assigned to the task that is carried out on newcomers to the world, to guide the meaning of the practices towards a conception that puts the pedagogical in the center of the scene, the knowledge that should be part of the education of this group”.

Susana Amancio (deputy director) said, “This meeting enabled us to listen, value, reflect and plan to improve, to continue innovating in the learning that our boys and girls require from the municipal education system. A real opportunity with an eye on the future”
