KayOne of the most infamous fairy tales in Ralam folklore is that of Kalliankat Neeli. Neely’s story has been the subject of countless retellings and art forms. Thaikudam Bridge is preparing another musical version of this story.

The video is directed by Naren Ajith. The video stars Simran Sivakumar, Vysakh Menon, Sanvi S Shankar, Bhadra, Mukesh and Shanu.
Thaikudam Bridge unveils a rebellious Neely through this music video. Neely is a very free-spirited character. Neely does not conform to patriarchal and reactionary gender norms and practices.
Instead it questions and mocks society’s denial of freedom to women – the video essentially cites Neetu K Das’s work The Aphrodisiac Ghost of Kerala: Telling and Retelling Yakshi Tales.
