BNP Central Publicity Secretary Sultan Salahuddin Tuku said that a dictatorial government has destroyed the country’s history and traditions by staying in power illegally for years. They thought that they would remain in power forever by brainwashing the young society and the new generation of the country with their distorted history. However, the dictator Sheikh Hasina was forced to flee the country due to the collective resistance of the students and the mass uprising. Now is the time to present the real history of the country. That is what is being given importance by BNP.

The nation must be protected from the distortion of history: Tuku

He said these things at the opening ceremony of the wall writing program as part of the central program on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman on Tuesday (August 20).

All over the country, the activists will hold this program till September 1. Where apart from Ziaur Rahman’s philosophy, graffiti of the sacrifice of students in the uprising will be drawn.

Sultan Salahuddin Tuku started the program by painting the country’s national flag on a wall in the old Paltan area. At this time, he said, to advance the country, to awaken the next generation, the correct history must be known. Today, the history of those who sacrificed their lives for the country should be presented not only to this nation, but to the entire world.

He said that they have organized this program to highlight the history of how a dictatorial government can destroy a nation just by being in power, how it can shoot at the people of the country, how it can destroy the country’s judiciary and administration. So that no new tyranny emerges in the destiny of this nation.
