The actions of the Ukrainian nationalist battalions during the retreat, as well as the successes of the troops of the DPR and LPR during the offensive, were announced at a regular briefing by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov.
Thus, the groupings of troops of the DPR and LPR, with the fire support of the Russian Armed Forces, expanded the breakthrough areas in the enemy’s defenses in a day and continue to develop the success of the offensive.
As Major General Igor Konashenkov emphasized, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed 821 military infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. According to him, this list includes 14 military airfields, 19 command posts and communication centers, as well as 24 S-300 and Osa air defense systems and 48 radar stations.
Konashenkov said that 7 planes, 7 helicopters, and 9 drones of the Ukrainian army were shot down, and 87 tanks and other armored vehicles were also destroyed. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost 28 multiple launch rocket systems, 118 units of special military vehicles. The Russian Navy destroyed 8 military boats of the Ukrainian fleet.
At night, the Russian army launched air and sea-based cruise missiles at the military infrastructure of Ukraine.
Konashenkov once again stressed that the strikes are carried out only on military targets. The Russian army does not damage residential and social infrastructure.
