The National Center of Meteorology warns of expected rain in the western regions of the country

The National Center of Meteorology warned of an increase in thunderstorms and rain on Saturday evening in some areas of the western part of the country, accompanied by good to heavy rain at times.

The director of the media office at the center, Mohieddine Ramadan, told Al-Ahrar that the areas expected to be affected include the northwest of the country, the western and southern mountain regions, Ghadames, Hamada, Al-Qurayyat, Tarhuna, Mizdah, Bani Walid, Al-Jafara Plain, southern Al-Khums, Zliten, Misurata, and some areas of the western coast.

The media director at the center indicated that the expected rains may be heavy, especially in some areas such as Yafran, Gharyan, Al-Araban, Kikla, Zintan, Tarhuna, Maslata, Bani Walid, southern Misurata and Zliten.

Mohi El-Din called on citizens to take precautions and stay away from flood channels and valleys, pointing out the possibility of local valleys flowing and water accumulating in low-lying areas in those areas.

The Meteorological Center expects these clouds to decrease tomorrow, Sunday, and return again on Monday and Tuesday to the western region, according to Mohi El-Din.

On the other hand, Mohi El-Din expected that temperatures would continue to rise in the rest of the western regions of the country, and could reach 40 degrees, and would begin to drop significantly next Tuesday.

While temperatures remain at their normal rate in the eastern region, ranging in the thirties, with an increase in humidity, according to the same source.
