The National Court acquits Defex for the awards in Cameroon and sentences its former commercial director to two years in prison

The National Court has acquitted the company Defex in the trial for the awards of the Government of Cameroon between 2005 and 2013 in exchange for commissions and bribes to authorities and officials for the supply of defense and security material, while its former commercial director Manuel IS has sentenced him to two years in jail. The Third Section of the Criminal Chamber has issued a sentence in the first separate piece, related to the contracts with Cameroon, of the so-called Defex case, the investigation into the semi-public arms company, which has several investigations related to irregular awards in other countries like Angola or Saudi Arabia.
