The national fencing team achieves second place in the West Asian Championship

The Iraqi fencing team in the Arab sword weapon achieved second place in the West Asian Championship, which is taking place in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

A statement by the Fencing Federation received by the (INA) stated that “the national team faced its Kuwaiti counterpart in the final match, and the match was characterized by enthusiasm and excitement and ended in favor of Kuwait (36-27).”

He added, “The national team’s coronation in second place came after the national team players presented wonderful and dazzling levels, which received great praise from all those present and following the tournament.”

He continued, “Everyone praised the high level presented by the national team players,” noting that “Iraq has a promising generation of players who will be stars in the future.”
